About Us

The First Academy enrolls over 1300 students in their 6 divisions: Lower School (K4-6th), Middle School (7th-8th), Upper School (9th-12th), The Classical School (K- 12th Homeschool), First Hope (Developmental disabilities) and The Early Learning Center (Birth-3 years).  In 2009, our Lower and Middle Schools were designated a Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education. We ranked in the top 15% of the nation! Our Lower School students enjoy their core classes and worldview Bible curriculum along with weekly music, art, library, physical education and Rosetta Stone for Spanish. In Middle School, our desire is to help students focus on their spiritual, academic, artistic, and athletic gifts and talents to help them grow and mature into Godly men and women who love and serve their Lord and the global community. It is our desire to provide an emotionally safe environment where the Middle School student grows and matures into one who strives for “Character Before Career, Wisdom Beyond Scholarship, Service Before Self, and Participation as a Way of Life”. In 2009, a new Upper School building opened its doors to students. While we are very proud of this new structure, we are excited about the professional faculty and staff who have chosen to make The First Academy their career home. Excellent teachers and staff are the basis of a strong and rigorous academic program. To achieve this type of atmosphere, we strive to hire teachers who meet simple criteria: mastery in their subject area, an affinity for the learner, strong teaching skills, and a love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Each year, The First Academy has 100% of its graduates accepted to college, including Ivy League colleges such as University of Pennsylvania and Yale. The Class of 2014 averaged $95,000 in scholarship awards.

Outside of class, our students enjoy extra-curricular activities in the arts and athletics. We have a vibrant, award-winning fine arts program and enjoy a world-class athletic complex that is home to numerous state championships. In 2011, the girl's volleyball team won their 4th straight state championship! In 2014, the boy’s baseball team won a national championship.  Our basketball teams continue to win district and regional competitions. We also have a thriving fine arts program and opened a state-of-the art Black Box Theatre in the Spring of 2014.

We invite you to experience The First Academy for yourself and your family. Please call our Office of Admission today to schedule a campus visit. Walk the halls, listen to conversations of our students and faculty and you will recognize what makes The First Academy a distinctive, premier Christ-centered college preparatory school.
