Hairstylist Wanted! 

Mikah Salon & Urban Galleria is located in the heart of the College Park community and adds to its vibrant and colorful atmosphere. In addition to the variety of salon and special event services, Mikah also highlights the artwork of various local artists, making the salon a unique and uplifting place to work. Due to our growing client base, we are looking for a welcoming, professionally oriented, kind-hearted, people loving person to join our team!  If you are a hairstylist with a current cosmetology license and are looking for full/part time work in a positive, creative, energetic atmosphere,  we look forward to hearing from you!  Position is available immediately!  

Requirements - 

• Provide full salon services including shampooing, blow drying, trimming, styling and coloring.
• Experience/familiarity with latest hair trends, i.e. - balayage, ombre, Brazilian Blowout, etc. 
• Comfortable with using natural and/or organic products and processes. 
• Maintain clean and welcoming station.
• Positive and clear communication and customer service skills.
• Ensure clients are received and served in a timely manner.
• Assist in customer booking, check-out, and inventory needs as needed. 

Skills -

• Current Cosmetology License or working toward obtaining one
• Comfortable handling a medium load client base to begin, with room to grow. 
• Make-up knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Special event experience is also beneficial, due to our high wedding bookings.
• Ability to work with a team, as we do offer support staff and event team.
• Flexibility & a positive attitude is a must!
