Asst. Manager/Department Manager (Uptown)

We are looking for someone passionate about customer service and great food to assist lead our uptown neighborhood market.

Responsibilities:

*Manage inventory and submit orders

*Manage and develop store personnel to their fullest potential

*This is not a desk job!

This is a small neighborhood supermarket where the manager will work shoulder to shoulder with staff in production shifts. There are some administrative duties, but this is not a desk job.

Requirements:

*Minimum 2 year management experience in grocery environment required.
*Minimum 1 year experience in managing grocery inventory

*Minimum 1 year customer service experience 

*Strong communication skills

*Exceptional customer service skills and friendly attitude

The ideal candidate must be highly motivated with a sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, have an eye for detail, and be able to prioritize multiple tasks.

The job requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire work day and the ability to lift, stack and maneuver objects.
