SEO Technician

The SEO Technician is a part-time independent contractor entry-level position and primarily responsible for assisting customers in developing and executing SEO strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing, reviewing and implementing/suggesting changes to customers' website so they are optimized for search engines.  This position will evolve into a full-time employee position for the right applicant as our client base grows.

Work Schedule: Days/Evenings

Work onsite: No

Wage/Salary: $12/hr. DOE

Requirements/Qualifications:
-6-12 months experience of SEO and/or PPC internet marketing preferred
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (or Apple equivalent) and internet marketing programs
-Working knowledge of up-to-date SEO and/or PPC best practices
-Familiarity with keyword research tools and methodologies
-Familiarity with social media strategies as it relates to SEO
-MUST have 1-2 years customer service experience (phone experience preferred)

Primary Responsibilities:
-Hands on optimization work, content, keyword research and site architecture

-Link profiling/building

-URL/online business directory submission
-Audit/optimize monthly performance

-Analyze website analytics
-Provide customer service to customers, such as answering questions, offering suggestions, etc.
-Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:
-Basic understanding the major factors influencing organic search crawling, indexing and keyword ranking
-Knowledge of how search engines and their spiders work in scoring websites
-Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools preferred
-Computer literate, including proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), graphic design software, and Internet searching tools
-Strong writing and editing skills with experience in establishing corporate tone for various technical and non-technical audiences
-Strong interpersonal and presentation skills required
-Knowledge and expertise in technology marketing
-Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner

We will consider on-the-job training for the right applicant; one who holds a basic understanding of SEO, has good writing/editing skills, a strong customer service background and a desire to learn.
